LED Lighting

We all know that the traditional incandescent globe was power hungry and inefficient, and most of us would have replaced our lighting with compact fluorescent tubes, however the latest LED technology provides an even better power saving and a considerably longer life. Halogen globes used in kitchens, outdoor deckings, and in factory units also produce a considerable amount of heat. The LED replacement for these is almost compulsory for saving power and money.


The cost saving is three way:

You save Electricity, and with rising costs this represents a major saving and typically a better return on investment than installing solar panels.

You save on installation costs: with the longer lifespan you need to replace LED lighting much less often. In larger rooms and factories this means less need to get the ladder out or the electrician in.

You save on Heat: Halogen lighting produces a lot of heat – which in Australia means you have to run air-conditioning longer to eliminate this extra heat – a double electricity cost!

These are the large lights normally seen in factories, warehouses and sheds.

These will more than halve your power consumption compared to high heat generating halogen or mercury vapour lamps.

But more importantly they will last considerably longer saving you the costly and sometimes dangerous need to replace them as often.



For typical factory use of 8 hours per day 5 days per week these will have paid for themselves in around 12 months and we can only expect electricity costs to rise!
